Hello crafters!
As an entrepreneur and online shop owner, I’ve always believed that the journey to a successful online business begins with a compelling and visually appealing website. It’s the digital face of my brand, the window shoppers peer into before making a purchase. However, over time, I began to feel that my website didn’t fully reflect the style and colors that resonate with me and my brand. In this blog post, I’m excited to share my journey of giving my website a much-needed facelift to better align with my preferred style and colors. Plus, I’ll unveil my plans for seamlessly integrating my Etsy shop into my website for an all-encompassing shopping experience.
My entrepreneurial journey began with a dream, a passion, and a humble website that did its job โ functional but far from reflective of the unique character of my brand. I wanted to get into the world of SVG design and creation. I am an avid crafter and a big fan of Cricut! While working with Cricut as a beta tester for one of their machines, I was encouraged to become a designer for Cricut through their Cricut Contributing Artist Program. I began the process of learning how to make quality SVG designs and optimizing them for Cricut cutting machines. After many, and I do mean many hours, I learned what I needed in order to make a design that would pass the very high standards that Cricut sets for its artists. I applied and I was accepted! I created a bunch of very successful designs that were being used by thousands of people in the Cricut world, and I decided that I wanted to offer my designs to more people! I started listing my designs in my Etsy shop, and even some other designs that I created with mugs and prints!
As I was deep in the process of updating my website, I couldn’t help but dream of the next big step: integrating my Etsy shop into my website. This would create a unified shopping experience, allowing my customers to seamlessly browse, compare, and purchase products without leaving my website.
The benefits of Etsy integration for my customers are clear:
- Streamlined Shopping: Visitors would have a more convenient shopping experience, with all my products in one place.
- Consistent Branding: I could maintain a cohesive brand identity throughout the entire shopping journey.
- More Control: With Etsy integrated into my website, I could have more control over the user experience, from customization to checkout.
The journey to Etsy integration isn’t without its challenges. It is involving some technical know-how and attention to detail, but I am determined to make it a reality. Updating my website to align with my preferred style and colors has been a creative and rewarding journey. The transformation has breathed new life into my online presence, making it a more authentic reflection of my brand and passion. With my dreams of integrating my Etsy shop into my website on the horizon, I’m excited to offer my customers an even better shopping experience that’s more connected, engaging, and true to my unique style. Stay tuned for the next chapter of my online store’s evolution! Hopefully everything will be approved by Etsy soon and I will be able to finish this big integration!
